Data shows that overseas Pakistanis could get a higher return on investment if they had invested in Pakistan for a longer period. Indeed, Pakistan is one of the markets that has outperformed developed markets thanks to a higher rate of economic growth. For example, over the past 20 years, Pakistani companies in the KSE-100 have returned 14% in dollars, compared to 5% (over the same period) of the Morgan Stanley Capital International Global Index, an index global stock market that tracks the performance of large and mid caps listed on 23 developed markets.
